Smile Confidently With Invisalign
Invisalign is a series of clear, removable aligners designed to straighten teeth much like traditional braces, but without the use of metal brackets and wires.
They apply gentle, controlled pressure to different areas of your mouth during various phases of your treatment.
Invisalign can be an ideal treatment option for teens and adults who prefer a more subtle option in terms of aesthetics, along with the convenience of removable aligners.
Invisalign aligners are clear, offering a discreet appearance. Their removability allows you to enjoy your favourite foods while easily brushing, flossing, and maintaining your oral health just as you normally do.

Invisalign Teen

Invisalign for Adults
Many adult patients choose Invisalign to straighten their teeth, as it can fit seamlessly into their daily routines.
Features of Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign has a number of great features that can help make your orthodontic treatment go more smoothly.

Smooth Construction
Invisalign aligners are made completely of smooth material, meaning you won't experience any irritation or discomfort from metal wires or brackets.
The aligners are made from USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are free of BPA.
Low-Profile Aesthetics
Patients worried about aesthetics while undergoing orthodontic treatment may find Invisalign to be a great option.
Invisalign aligners are made of a clear, lightweight material, and are nearly invisible when worn. The casual observer may not even notice you're wearing them!

Removable Aligners
Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can easily take them out before meals. This means you can continue to enjoy all your favourite foods without any restrictions.
You can also take the aligners out to brush and floss your teeth, so your oral hygiene routine will be unaffected.

No Adjustment Appointments Needed
Invisalign aligners don't need to be adjusted like braces do. Instead, you simply switch from one set of aligners to the next in the series as instructed by your orthodontist.
You'll still need to visit us for checkups to assess your progress, but you'll certainly save time on those adjustment appointments!
Digital Impressions with iTero™
Our orthodontist uses the iTero 3D scanner to take digital impressions of your smile – and show you your projected results to help you prepare for your Invisalign treatment.
iTero impressions are minimally intrusive and don't require the use of physical materials like traditional impressions do.

The Invisalign Treatment Process
Curious about how it all works? Discover what to expect during your orthodontic treatment with Invisalign.
Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, your orthodontist will conduct an exam and imaging to diagnose your orthodontic condition and create a tailored treatment plan just for you. They will also address any questions or concerns you may have regarding the practical and financial aspects of your Invisalign treatment.
The Treatment Plan
After looking at your exam and digital scan, your orthodontist will create a detailed Invisalign treatment plan just for you! This plan will outline the specific movements of your teeth at every stage and provide an estimated timeline for your treatment. With this personalized plan, your Invisalign aligners will be crafted using advanced 3D printing technology at the Invisalign lab.
Wearing Your Aligners
During your treatment, you will wear your aligners daily, removing them for about two hours each day for eating or for brushing and flossing your teeth. About every one to two weeks, you will switch to the next aligner in the series. Over time, you'll notice your new smile taking shape as your teeth move into their prescribed positions.
Appointments With Us
During your Invisalign treatment, you will visit our office regularly for checkups.
During these appointments, your orthodontist will assess your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Please also feel free to use these appointments to ask us any questions you may have about your Invisalign treatment.
Enjoy & Maintain
You've reached the end of your treatment – congratulations! Now it's time to enjoy your straighter, healthier smile. During your final Invisalign appointment with your orthodontist, we will review the progress your smile has made. Your orthodontist will prescribe retainers to maintain your teeth in their current positions.

-
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign orthodontic treatment consists of a series of clear, custom aligners designed to straighten your teeth without the use of metal wires or brackets.
Using advanced 3D computer imaging technology, we will create a treatment plan based on your unique smile.
Your Invisalign aligners will be carefully crafted to match the shape of your teeth at every stage of your treatment journey.
- What are the primary features of Invisalign?
-
How does Invisalign work?
Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of clear plastic aligners. Each aligner is specifically designed to move your teeth in small increments. You'll wear each aligner for approximately one week (or as directed by your orthodontist) before switching to the next one in the series, which continues the process from the previous aligner.
This process will continue until your teeth are in their prescribed, corrected positions.
-
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign orthodontic treatment depends on the severity of your condition and the number of aligners required for correction. The more severe or complex the misalignment, the more aligners you will need, which increases the overall cost of treatment.
Concerns about cost are completely understandable. We offer dental financing and flexible payment plans to help you manage your budget for orthodontic treatment.
-
How many sets of aligners will I need?
The answer to this question really depends on the severity of your misalignment. Each situation is unique and deserves individual attention.
Based on a detailed evaluation of your bite during your initial consultation, your orthodontist will give you an accurate estimate of how long your treatment will last.
-
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Your orthodontist will offer an estimate for how long your Invisalign treatment will last, tailored to your specific case.
The duration of your treatment ultimately depends on the nature and severity of the misalignment of your teeth or jaw. This affects the amount of movement required to correct the issue and the number of aligners you will need to achieve this.
-
What are Invisalign aligners made of?
Invisalign aligners are constructed from USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that contain no BPA.
-
Can adults use Invisalign?
Absolutely! Nearly everyone with healthy teeth and gums can be a suitable candidate for Invisalign.
Many adults these days are opting to undergo orthodontic treatment with Invisalign aligners because of their discreet look, and the convenience of being able to remove them to eat, and to brush and floss.
-
Can teenagers use Invisalign?
Yes! Teens certainly can be candidates for Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign features Invisalign Teen, a product line specifically designed to address the unique needs of teenagers.
Invisalign Teen aligners have two main features that distinguish them from standard Invisalign aligners. They include compliance indicators – tiny blue dots that fade away after the aligners have been worn consistently for two weeks – to help teens monitor their treatment and determine when to change the aligners.
They also come with eruption tabs for tweens and younger teens whose adult teeth are still in the process of growing in. These provide space for second molars and prevent them from growing crooked.
-
How will Invisalign fit my lifestyle?
As with any orthodontic treatment, getting accustomed to Invisalign may take some time in the beginning. However, we are confident that it will fit in well with your daily routines.
Invisalign aligners can be removed whenever you need to eat, drink, brush, or floss. This means there are no dietary restrictions, and you can continue with your regular oral hygiene routine.
And because the aligners are made of a lightweight, clear plastic, they are almost invisible when worn, meaning your orthodontic treatment won't be that apparent to anyone but you.
-
How often do I have to visit the orthodontist with Invisalign?
You will have occasional checkups with your orthodontist during your Invisalign treatment. These visits ensure your progress is on track, and if any refinements are needed, they can be made smoothly.
Invisalign aligners are designed with convenience in mind. You won't have to worry about any adjustments or tightening. Just swap to a new set of aligners as outlined in your orthodontic plan. This means fewer visits for those types of appointments during your treatment, making your journey smoother and simpler.
-
How often do I have to change my Invisalign aligners?
When you first begin treatment, your orthodontist will inform you about how frequently you should change your aligners. The frequency may vary slightly among patients, but it is typically every one to two weeks.
-
Are there any food or drink restrictions?
You can take out your aligners to eat, which means there are essentially no dietary restrictions during your Invisalign treatment.
We recommend taking your aligners out to drink beverages other than water (pop, coffee, juice, etc.) to avoid staining and so that sugars and acids don't get trapped between the aligners and your teeth.
-
How do I clean my aligners?
There are a few different steps involved when it comes to keeping your Invisalign clear aligners clean.
You should rinse them off every time you remove them from your mouth to eliminate dry saliva and any plaque that may be forming.
You should also clean your aligners thoroughly each day. Use a soft toothbrush, clear anti-bacterial soap, and cool water to clean them. Brush your aligners gently so as not to scratch them, and then rinse off the soap. Then you're done!
Along with cleaning your aligners, ensure your mouth is thoroughly clean before reinserting them. This involves brushing and flossing after every meal to prevent food particles from lingering between your teeth and the aligners, which can result in bad breath, cavities, and gum disease.
-
How do I store my aligners?
Whenever you're not wearing your Invisalign aligners, make sure to store them in the provided case. This helps keep them safe and clean for when you're ready to use them again.
-
Can I play sports with Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners can be removed, allowing you to play sports without worrying about the potential for damage.
However, remember that to keep treatment on track, Invisalign aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours a day (or as prescribed by your orthodontist), so plan your time wisely.
It's important to invest in a sports mouth guard to protect your teeth while you play sports. Orthodontic treatment can slightly loosen teeth as they shift into their new positions, and this can make them more susceptible to damage than they normally are.
-
Can I play my woodwind or brass instrument with Invisalign?
Yes! Just take out your aligners to play your instrument, and put them back in when you're finished.
Remember to wear your Invisalign aligners for approximately 22 hours each day (or as instructed by your orthodontist), so be sure to plan your practice time accordingly.
-
Invisalign vs. braces: which is right for me?
Invisalign and braces are both effective orthodontic treatment options, but there are differences between them that may affect their suitability for different individuals.
Factors to consider when choosing between Invisalign and braces include aesthetics, personal preferences, lifestyle, cost, and the nature and severity of misalignment.
Your orthodontist will evaluate your individual case and suggest the most suitable treatment option for your needs.
